Christmas Eve at Auntie's House

Yes, that's spoiled on my hat!

This is Crissy with me. She didn't want to sit for a pic, must have been something to do with those antlers.

Aunt Jane bought me a new bed. This is me tuckered out from all the excitement.

We got to open presents on Christmas Eve! Thank goodness, they were driving us insane. Miles and miles of presents! My human didn't get a good pic of all the presents. They were behind the tree. This is me not wanting to share my new snowman. Hope you all enjoyed your presents as much as me!

Over the river and through the woods

to Auntie's house we go...
On any given day in the car you would find me in my Captain's chair, barking orders. High above on my perch I can keep a watch out for unforseen things. On this day, apparently my human felt she should take a nap. Therefore I had to take over and manually steer the car. As you can see, there was nothing exciting on this trip. We were very prepared. Luckily it was no Donner Pass. Even so, have you seen my human, I could feast for weeks. We made it safe and sound. Roads were clear and we didn't encounter any snow. Everything is wonderful here at Auntie's house.
I need to send a Bark Out to my homies at home. I hear it hasn't stop snowing. Between all the ice and snow, stay warm and dry! Peace.

Humans!

If you missed the Dog rules for Christmas, please scroll down and read it. Need I say anymore! BTW this is one of my bestest friends Indie.

Get well soon Harley!

The love of my life has been very sick. He got Salmon poisoning. You must read about it if you're a dog lover. Help protect us. He came home from the hospital last night. But I here he's a little drafty in the behind area. I won't be able to see him before Xmas :(. Don't eat raw fish, eat Turkey!

Santa is real!!

There really is a SANTA! How do I know? Because Santa sent me a letter. WooHoo! Maybe he'll bring me Turkey and squeaky toys and chewies and Turkey and stuff toys and Turkey and balls. I have to be really good now. I don't want Santa to bring me a lump of coal. Too bad class was called off tonight, I would be the best one there. What's a little ice and cold. If I run around fast enough, I could produce enough heat. Better go now. Did I mention that Santa might bring me Turkey?

Just in case...

One of my friends sent this to me. I must pass the word

A Dog's Rules For Christmas

1. Be especially patient with your humans during this time. They may appear to be more stressed-out than usual and they will appreciate long comforting dog leans.(I can't get my human to stay in one spot)

2. They may come home with large bags of things they call gifts. Do not assume that all the gifts are yours. (what they're not for me?)

3. Be tolerant if your humans put decorations on you. They seem to get some special kind of pleasure out of seeing how you look with fake antlers.(this has already happened to me!)

4. They may bring a large tree into the house and set it up in a prominent place and cover it with lights and decorations. Bizarre as this may seem to you, it is an important ritual for your humans, so there are some things you need to know:

a. Don't pee on the tree
b. Don't drink water in the container that holds the tree
c. Mind your tail when you are near the tree
d. If there are packages under the tree, even ones that smell interesting or that have your name on them, don't rip them open
e. Don't chew on the cord that runs from the funny-looking hole in the wall to the tree

Must Talk to Trainer

I'm not sure how to make sure THIS does NOT happen again. My human left me all by myself and went to see some movie called Australia. Apparently she feels the same way about Hugh Jackman as I do about Harley. You would have thought that the guilt would have gotten to her after leaving me home alone for 5 whole hours on a work night, that I would have at least gotten some Turkey out of it. Oh nooo, she barley had time for me before she made me got to bed. Bed! I'd been sleeping all night in anticipation of someone(who we shall not name), would come home and play. Or at the very least give me Turkey! I just want everyone to know I have not had any Turkey for almost a week. I want Turkey! I want Turkey! If I do not get Turkey soon something bad is going to happen...

Turkey, Turkey and TURKEEEEEY!

I love TURKEY! Love, love, love it! We should have Thanksgiving everyday! Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving, I did! Because I got Turkey!
Very strange ritual that my human has. Gets up really early, clamor and bangs around in the kitchen for hours and after a bunch of people arrive, brings out TURKEY! There were other items but nothing as noteworthy as Turkey. I didn't even mind that we didn't go for a walk. Well I did mind, until I got Turkey. The little humans that are called my cousins(?) did spend a lot of time playing with me.
The rest of the weekend was all about me. On Friday I spent the day with Harley(Hmmm.... Harley). Indie came over for a slumber party on Sat. Sunday was just a walk with the gang. I have tricked my human into using Turkey as a reward. Must not learn new tricks fast.
Well I got to go and do some hunting in the house. Monday I managed to find a super juicy Hood River Honey Crisp apple. I think I still have the other half around here somewhere. It's going to have to hold me over until I can get more Turkey.

Dog School?

Cleverly disguised as "Dog School", it's actually a Human training class. Because most humans have a hard time communicating with dogs. My human did most excellent in class. I was the first to be called to show all the other dogs how to train their human. I did so well on the first one I was called again to do another training tip. Always remember to reward our humans by eating their food, which makes them very happy. What I like about school CHEESE! What I don't like about school, we never get to sniff the other dogs :(.

Santa Pics

I met Santa on Saturday. He smelled like lots of dogs!My friends Chaucer,Emmy and Harley also went to meet Santa. He smelled like dogs. Dogs I haven't smelled before! I've posted Chaucer and Em's photo as well. Harley's pic is missing but we're trying to get a copy before it's altered. Harley had a wardrobe malfunction and was looking a little too HAPPY to see Santa! Maybe because Santa smelled like dogs! He wasn't the only one to have problems. I got a little nervous and went #2. Some of it got stuck to my backside and I had to be cleaned up with a wet wipe. Oh so embarassing.

Santa's Coming!

Santa's coming! I don't now what that means but I'm excited. I get to go take pictures this weekend as long as there's treat involved - I'm there! I'll have to let you know what this Santa is all about. I hear it's for Xmas. This is my first real Xmas. Last year I was a the shelter, it was a really slow day.

It's about time....

Thank goodness my Person has finally set up the Izzie blog. I've been stuck in the house all day without a person to entertain me. Wait, was that a cat in the patio window? Grr.. Gotta go!
